BrasArte Presents: 

SF Bay Brazilian Day Festival & Lavagem 2015
Celebrating 450th anniversary of the founding of the city of Rio de Janeiro and in honor of two pillars of the Rio musical sound: Vinicus de Moraes & Antonio Carlos Jobim

Featuring: a wide array of Brazilian music, dancing, street procession and Lavagem, food, beer & caiprinhas, childrens activities, craft vendors and more!! 

Program:
9:00 - 11:00 AM - 8 Dance Classes indoors for $5! 
11:00 AM - 7:00 PM - Main Stage Performances (Free)
2:00 PM - Lavagem (community procession & cleansing) (Free)

Festival Artists:
NOVA STAR BAND - Dandara Odara, Danda da Hora, Spok & friends, Sllyek da Bahia, Tania Santiago, Rodson de Jesus, Ian Faquini, Wagner Santos, Ashlee George, Celia Malheiros, Sandy Cressman, Batala SF, Maracatu Pacifico with Georgia & Elisa, Tambores Julio Remelexo, UCA Capoeira, Acuarela, 
Sandy Cressman, DJ Jose Ruiz, DJ Miles Green and featuring SAMBADA!

Special Guests from Brazil: Ballet Foclorico Da Bahia principal dancers- Jose Ricardo & Nildinha Fonseca! And winner of Brazilian Dancing with the Stars Alvaro Reyes!

Also- Stay tuned for dance workshops with these master artists leading up to the festival at BrasArte.
